Opera browser has launched a new AI-driven feature that allows users to manage their tabs using natural language commands.

With this innovative tool, users can easily group, pin, bookmark, or close tabs simply by typing requests such as “Group all video tabs” or “Bookmark all currently open tabs.”

To access the Aria command bar, users can press Ctrl + / or Cmd + /. Notably, Opera processes all commands directly on the user’s device, ensuring that no data leaves the user’s system.

The feature allows for more specific commands, such as “Close my YouTube tabs” or “Group all my shopping tabs,” making it easier for those who juggle numerous tabs for work and personal interests to declutter their browsing experience.

For users with over five tabs open, the feature can also be activated by right-clicking on a tab.

This AI functionality is part of Opera’s ongoing enhancements and is being rolled out through the developer version of the browser, with hopes for inclusion in the general release soon.

Last year, Opera introduced Opera One, featuring a tab grouping concept called Tab Islands, which automatically organizes tabs based on context. Unlike traditional AI assistants that focus on website summaries, this new tool aims to streamline browser navigation.
