Eterna Plc has signed an agreement with Dangote Petrochemical Refinery to become an official sales distributor for their products in Nigeria.
According to a corporate report signed by Eterna Plc’s Company Secretary, Mandella Golkus, the company has increased its trucking capacity through vehicle acquisition and a collaboration with a third-party transportation company.
“Eterna Plc; a leading integrated energy provider in the country, has announced a major milestone in the energy industry as an official domestic sales distributor of Dangote Petroleum Refinery products in Nigeria.
“This appointment establishes Eterna Plc as one of the country’s leading distributors of Dangote domestic products and reinforces the company’s commitment to improving product supply through significant investment in trucking, both through truck acquisition and strategic partnerships with third-party transportation providers.
“The appointment demonstrates the company’s long-standing reputation for excellence and commitment to customer satisfaction.”
Speaking about the partnership, Eterna Plc’s Managing Director, Benjamin Nwaezeigwe, said, “We are pleased to have been designated as an official distributor of Dangote refinery domestic sales in Nigeria.
“This collaboration with Dangote Energy demonstrates our commitment to provide Nigerians with world-class energy solutions that fulfil their requirements and expectations.”
The MD continued, “We are happy that we are keeping to our promise to stakeholders that the company will remain competitive even in the face of fuel subsidy removal.”
Dangote Petrochemical Refinery began operations early on Friday, January 12, 2024, following the delivery of six million barrels of crude oil in six batches of one million barrels each.
During the first phase of operations, the refinery is intended to focus on diesel and aviation fuel. In succeeding phases, it will produce PMS.
Eterna Plc is a key player in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector. The corporation manufactures, markets, and distributes lubricants and chemicals.
It also manages a network of filling stations throughout Nigeria.
