Twitter has officially changed the logo of the microblogging platform. Users who logged in on Monday found out that the logo for Twitter has changed to “X”
This follows the move by Elon Musk tweet on Sunday stating that he is changing Twitter logo.
Since Elon Musk took over the company, he has changed its name to X Corp reflecting the billionaire’s desire to become a “super app” like China’s WeChat.
The blue bird in Twitter’s logo is described as “our most recognisable asset” on the company’s website. “That’s why we’re so protective of it,” it added.
In April, Dogecoin’s Shiba Inu dog temporarily took the position of the bird, which contributed to a rise in the market value of the meme coin.
