The White House has invited top United States business leaders, including Elon Musk of Tesla, Tim Cook of Apple, and Kelly Ortberg of Boeing, to join President Donald Trump on his trip to China this week.

This was disclosed in report by Bloomberg, citing an official.

Also expected to be part of the delegation for Trump’s summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping are David Solomon of Goldman Sachs, Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone, Larry Fink of BlackRock, Jane Fraser of Citigroup, and Dina Powell McCormick of Meta Platforms, the official added.

More than a dozen leading executives are accompanying Trump on the trip, which the US president hopes will pave the way for a wave of new business deals and purchase agreements with Beijing.

The meeting is intended to strengthen economic ties and advance discussions on strategic cooperation amid an increasingly complex global economic environment.
