For the first time since the COVID-19 epidemic started, Zoom, the company that helped start the remote work revolution during the pandemic, is asking its employees to report to work.
CNN reported that the firm noted in a statement that Zoom is now adopting a “structured hybrid approach,” which requires employees who live close to an office to return on-site two days a week since it’s “most effective” for the video-conferencing service.
“As a business, we are better able to employ our own technologies, keep innovating, and service our clients around the world.
“We’ll maintain using the complete Zoom platform to connect and effectively manage our distributed teams and staff.
Google, Amazon, and Salesforce have recently enacted similar policies, terminating the Covid-era policy that gave employees more freedom to work from home.
