Zeta Power announced it has partnered with an Italian company, Tartarini Auto Industries to import compressed natural gas conversion kits.

The company said in a statement that this was part of its plan to support the country’s energy transition plans as the world moves away from the use of fossil fuel, according to The Punch.

The Chairman of Zeta Power, Olusegun Aka-Basorun said that the firm was collaborating with the Presidential CNG Initiative to guarantee the supply of conversion kits required to convert petrol-powered cars to gas.

Aka-Bashorun empasised that the partnership with Tartarini aims to give car owners an economical, eco-friendly, and successful alternative for conventional petrol systems.

“The new CNG conversion kits from Tartarini are engineered to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability,” Aka-Basorun said, adding that this would optimise fuel consumption and reduce operating costs for vehicle owners.

He further said that CNG is a cleaner fuel, significantly reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a healthier environment.

He stressed that CNG is safe with no side effects on the vehicle.

Aka-Basorun reminded converters that different kits are designed for different vehicles and advised them to make sure they are using the appropriate specifications for each vehicle.

He noted that the kits are compatible with a wide range of petrol vehicle models, equipped with advanced safety features to ensure safe operation under various driving conditions.

“The introduction of our CNG conversion kits aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation. By enabling vehicles to run on CNG, we are helping to reduce dependence on liquid fossil fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions,” he said.

President Bola Tinubu recently revealed that commercial vehicle owners who transport people and products will receive one million kits at very cheap or no cost from his administration.

“We have started the distribution of conversion kits and the setting up of conversion centres across the country in conjunction with the private sector. We believe that this CNG initiative will reduce transportation costs by approximately 60 per cent and help to curb inflation,” Tinubu disclosed.
