The Second Edition of the Zenith Tech Fair’s hackathon, with the subject “Future Forward 3.0,” has declared its winners.
The Punch revealed that the winners of the competition, which took place on Wednesday and Thursday, November 23–24, 2023, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, took home a total of N59 million in prize money.
Ten finalists in all, chosen from among the more than five hundred participants in the session, used Sync—a platform for team collaboration and workflow management that fosters synergy and facilitates project management, task planning, messaging, payments, scheduling, and people operations—to emerge victorious and claim the N20 million grand prize.
In addition to a mentorship program with Seedstars, the first runner-up, Skill Up With Kahdsole, a social-tech startup that offers an end-to-end platform for teaching technical and vocational skills to empower young people, won N15 million.
The second runner-up, Tribapay, a payment processing gateway that enables cross-border payments and transactions in Nigeria and Ghana, won N10 million.
The Group Managing Director/CEO of Zenith Bank Plc, expressed his excitement for this year’s Hackathon during his welcome speech at the Zenith Bank flagship Tech Fair. He said that the Hackathon was, in fact, the highlight of the entire event.
