Zenith Bank Plc declared an interim dividend of N15.70 billion, or N0.50 per share, to be distributed to shareholders for the six-month period that ended in June 2023.

This information was provided to the Nigerian Exchange Limited in the company’s corporate action notification.

The company’s board of directors recommended paying an interim dividend of N0.50 per common share on the outstanding capital of 31,396,493,786 common shares.

The Bank stated that, subject to the proper withholding tax, the interim dividends will be paid to shareholders whose names appeared in the Register of Members at the close of business on September 22, 2023.

If shareholders’ names are on the Register of Members as of September 22, 2023, and they have completed the e-dividend registration form, which instructs the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank, they will electronically receive their dividends on September 29, 2023.

Shareholders who have not yet finished the e-dividend registration process are urged to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation, according to information provided by Zenith Bank.

Shareholders with unclaimed dividend warrants and share certificates that have yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation also encouraged to complete the e-dividend registration form or contact the Registrar.

Zenith Bank Plc declared profit before tax of 350.36 billion. A 169.5% rise over the 130.00 billion reported in the comparable period ended June 2022.
