YouTuber, wife killed during livestream over YouTube feud

A Sunday night shooting on the bustling Las Vegas Strip, near the iconic Bellagio hotel fountains, left two people dead in an attack believed to stem from an ongoing conflict between rival social media personalities.

The incident, shockingly captured on a YouTube livestream, led to the arrest of a suspect on Monday.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified the suspect as Manuel Ruiz, 41, who surrendered to authorities on Monday and faces two counts of murder. Police stated that the shooting was an isolated incident and that the suspect and victims were known to each other, with their dispute escalating across various social media platforms prior to the fatal encounter.

Undersheriff Andrew Walsh confirmed at a news briefing that the conflict had been brewing online, though he did not disclose specific details about the nature of the disagreements.

The shooting occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard, adjacent to the Bellagio Resort & Casino. Disturbing footage circulating online, and verified by Storyful, shows a man addressing the camera while pedestrians mill about in the background. Suddenly, another man, wearing a cap and sunglasses, opens fire as a woman attempts to intervene. Approximately seven gunshots can be heard on the video, as horrified onlookers scramble for cover or collapse to the ground.

Officers on patrol in the vicinity heard the gunshots and swiftly responded, discovering the two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived shortly thereafter, but both individuals succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

While the police have not yet officially released the names of the victims, social media posts suggest the deceased are YouTubers identified by netizens as ‘Finny Da Legend’ and his purported partner. The suspect is widely believed to be YouTuber ‘SinCity-MannyWise’.

The Clark County Coroner’s office has not yet released details regarding the victims.
