YouTube is rolling out new artificial intelligence-powered tools on YouTube Studio to help creators analyse their videos, improve content and grow their audiences.
The company said the updates include an expansion of Ask Studio, its AI-powered question-and-answer feature, to iOS and Android devices.
The new tools will also allow creators to receive feedback on unpublished videos, with AI analysing drafts and suggesting improvements to pacing, structure and storytelling.
YouTube is also introducing a research feed within the Studio app, giving creators insights into the types of content performing well on the platform. Creators can use the information to develop their own versions of popular content.
The company is further adding AI-generated thumbnails and titles that are based on a video’s content and tailored to a creator’s style.
A new dynamic thumbnail feature will allow creators to generate three thumbnail options and show each version to different segments of their audience to determine which performs best.
YouTube said creators have conducted more than 40 million tests using its existing A/B testing tools for titles and thumbnails.
The platform will soon expand testing to video content, allowing creators to compare up to three different video cuts to determine which opening hook performs best.
Later this year, YouTube Studio will also automatically monitor thumbnail performance and replace underperforming thumbnails.
The company said it was also updating its analytics tools to provide more than raw performance figures, with explanations of why videos perform in certain ways and recommendations for making content more engaging.
