MrBeast, the world’s most-watched YouTuber, has unveiled a new Saudi theme park as the kingdom accelerates its push to become a global entertainment hub.
The creator, who surpassed 100 billion views this month, arrived in Riyadh to open Beast Land, a park inspired by his high-stakes, challenge-driven videos that often feature elaborate endurance tests and major cash prizes.
Beast Land is part of Riyadh Season, the months-long entertainment festival that has reshaped the capital with daily events ranging from boxing bouts and slap contests to house-music parties and sports competitions.
Such activities would have been unimaginable a decade ago, when cinemas and concerts were largely banned.
Bathed in neon blue, the park blends rollercoasters with American-Gladiator-style games, including an elimination contest where the last player to hit a lit button plunges onto padded cushions below.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, said Saudi Arabia was a natural location for the venture, noting that 70 per cent of his audience is outside the US and that the kingdom provides convenient studio space for future productions.
“I’d say give it a try, it’s much more developed than you’d think,” he said.
Saudi Arabia has drawn numerous global celebrities in recent years with big-money deals, most notably Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract with Al Nassr is valued at more than $200 million.
