A new Nigerian airline, Wikki Air Limited, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bauchi State Government to launch flight operations from the state, covering both domestic and international routes.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Eugenia Ndukwe, this this disclosure at the 2025 Bauchi Investment Summit, revealing that the airline, working with strategic industry partners, has completed preparations to commence operations soon.
She added that the name Wikki Air draws inspiration from the iconic Wikki Warm Spring, reflecting Bauchi’s spirit of warmth, purity, and resilience.
“We are an indigenous airline and have decided to domesticate our name. Though we are not from Bauchi, we believe in promoting the state’s economic potential,” Ndukwe said.
She noted that Wikki Air is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient air transport services, backed by a solid team of investors and seasoned aviation professionals with decades of industry experience.
“The signing of this MoU underscores our commitment to building a strong partnership with the Bauchi State Government and other local stakeholders,” she stated.
Ndukwe assured that Wikki Air would boost connectivity, generate employment opportunities, and reinforce Bauchi’s status as a growing hub for trade, tourism, and investment.
