The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has approved the promotion of more than 2,000 staff members of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority.
The Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, made the disclosure on Wednesday while briefing journalists in Abuja.
Ezeh explained that the promotions cut across 165 different cadres within the FCTA and FCDA, adding that the affected staff members emerged successful after a computer-based test conducted on November 29, 2025.
He described the approval as a strong indication of Wike’s commitment to staff welfare, capacity development and career advancement within the FCT civil service.
The commission chairman urged civil servants in the territory to remain dedicated to their duties, emphasising that promotions would continue to be based on diligence, discipline and hard work through the computer-based testing system.
