WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging platform, is rolling out a series of new features aimed at improving communication and user convenience.
Among the updates is an AI-powered suggested replies tool that generates message recommendations based on conversation context.
The platform is also introducing tools to help users manage storage more efficiently, touch up photos using Meta AI, and streamline messaging tasks.
A key highlight is the expansion of WhatsApp’s “Writing Help” feature, which first launched in August 2025.
The tool, designed to assist users in drafting messages, previously allowed rephrasing, proofreading, and tone adjustments.
According to a Thursday blog post from Meta, the latest update will further refine the feature, helping users craft messages that are “just right.”
The company says chats remain private even when using Writing Help.
To use the feature, users tap the chat bar, select the stickers icon in the typing field, and then tap the pencil icon with sparkles, which denotes the AI-powered tool.
WhatsApp also now lets users free up space by locating and deleting large files within individual chats.
This allows users to remove unwanted media without erasing entire conversations, preserving chat history while clearing only selected files.
