WhatsApp has unveiled a new feature allowing users to log in to their accounts via email, providing an additional layer of security and convenience.
This update ensures that users can access their accounts even when SMS verification is not an option, making it easier to stay connected from any device, even without a network connection.
To enable this feature, users simply need to confirm their email address through the Settings menu in the WhatsApp app. Once set up, the email login can be used to recover and access the account, offering a reliable alternative to SMS-based verification.
This enhancement comes as part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve user experience and security. By allowing email login, the messaging platform aims to provide a more robust solution for account recovery and access, addressing issues faced by users in areas with limited network connectivity or those who frequently switch devices.
The new email login feature is expected to roll out gradually to all users, who are encouraged to update their app to the latest version to take advantage of this added security measure.
