It stated that over the previous four years, AWE had helped over 25,000 women in more than 80 nations, including 770 businesswomen from Nigeria.
It also added that the members would learn entrepreneurial skills and join a powerful AWE network that helped boost their companies and create jobs.
The yearly six-week initiative paired facilitated online business courses delivered by Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management with mentoring from successful female entrepreneurs.
Speaking during the virtual inauguration, Chargé d’Affaires David Greene praised the female participants and urged them to use the program’s lessons to expand their enterprises, enhance their quality of life, and aid Nigeria’s development.
Three AWE alumnae also spoke at the virtual launch event, outlining how the AWE course assisted them in expanding their businesses, building their networks, and finding funding.
