UBA coaches over 700 management trainees

The expanded Graduate Management Accelerated Program was launched by the United Bank for Africa Plc, Africa’s Global Bank, to train future professionals across Africa.

According to The Punch, over 700 graduates were admitted into the UBA Tribe following a demanding six-month hands-on learning and working experience, according to a statement from the Bank.

The authorized program, which the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria adapted from the internationally renowned Graduate Training Program, was designed to increase the capacity of recent graduates who were prepared as professionals for quick advancement to leadership and important roles.

The graduates, who came from all 19 of the bank’s African subsidiaries, reportedly completed a rigorous capacity-building program that combined classroom instruction with the real-world experience gained while rotating through various bank departments and units.

When speaking about the significance of addressing human capital development, The Chairman of UBA, Tony Elumelu, praised the effective program for producing bright and talented individuals who were ready to advance the bank to new heights.

Elumelu stated, “Building platforms for people to develop is crucial. We hope that the passion, excitement, and energy I sense in this room today translate into the greatness we anticipate so that these young, talented people may assist in elevating UBA to the next level. We would love to see our future CEOs come from this program.

“By addressing unemployment on the continent, UBA is providing chances for young Africans. The fact that so many young people are employed at this particular time demonstrates the important role our Bank is playing in fostering growth and development throughout Africa.”

The group managing director, Oliver Alawuba, also took the opportunity to speak. He stated, “I have observed, with pride, the dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment shown by all participants of the GMAP program.”

He noted how participants play a crucial role in supplying the essential resources needed to help program participants succeed as they launch their professions.

He stated, “At UBA, we provide an equal chance for everyone to realize their aspirations, regardless of age, tribe, gender, or origin. For our vision to come true, the change in our beloved continent of Africa is crucial. We require believers, doers, and agents of transformation in order to fulfill our task.”
