President Donald Trump has launched an official website for his proposed “$5 million golden visa” program, opening a waiting list for wealthy foreigners seeking expedited U.S. residency.
The new portal, TrumpCard.gov, invites interested applicants to register by submitting their names, preferred visa type, and email address under the slogan, “The Trump Card is Coming.”
“Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World,” Trump said in a social media post on Wednesday.
The high-value residency scheme, first introduced by Trump in April aboard Air Force One alongside a gleaming gold prototype visa featuring his likeness, is being marketed as a premium alternative to the traditional green card. While the program is still awaiting formal approval, Trump has promised rapid processing, initially claiming visas could be issued “in less than two weeks.”
Trump has pitched the initiative as a way to attract affluent investors and job creators to the U.S., while also potentially contributing to deficit reduction. In earlier remarks, he estimated the program could attract “maybe a million” buyers and did not rule out applications from Russian oligarchs or other controversial figures.
The timing of the announcement is notable, as it comes amid widespread criticism of ongoing deportation raids and legal battles surrounding the administration’s stricter immigration enforcement policies. Critics argue the golden visa program highlights a double standard—offering swift, privileged access for the ultra-rich while clamping down on less affluent migrants.
Nonetheless, the Trump administration continues to frame the golden visa as a bold step toward economic revitalization and a selective pathway to American citizenship.
As of now, the TrumpCard.gov site serves as a registration platform, with no clear timeline for when actual visas will be issued.
