The NGX has set new records for the fifth day in a row. The market broke beyond the 78,000 barrier on Thursday, as the All-Share Index gained 0.62% to close at 78,020.54 points.

Stocks gained N263 billion at the end of trading on January 5, 2024, while the market capitalization increased by 0.62% to conclude at N42.694 trillion from N42.43 trillion the day before.

From Wednesday’s 927.558 million units to today’s 984.193 million units, there was a minor rise in volume traded (0.06%). Additionally, the value of traded stocks increased to N11.16 billion, a 0.04% gain from N10.69 billion the previous day.
