Toyota to hike US vehicle prices by $200 in July

Toyota’s global production declines for 10th consecutive month

Toyota Motor Corp. will increase prices on select vehicles in the U.S. by over $200 beginning next month.

Prices for certain Toyota and Lexus models will rise by an average of $270 and $208, respectively, starting next month, Toyota spokesman Nobu Sunaga said in an email on Saturday.

“The latest price hike is part of our regular review of the prices,” Sunaga said.

He noted that the increases are part of a routine pricing review, with adjustments based on market conditions and competition, but did not provide additional details.

The revision comes after Mitsubishi Motors Corp. announced price increases for three U.S. models this month, citing routine adjustments to account for inflation.

Japanese automakers, which rely heavily on imports to serve the U.S. market, have been dealing with the ongoing impact of former President Donald Trump’s tariffs on imported cars and parts.
