President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has praised the economic reforms introduced by the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government, saying they are boosting investor confidence and supporting Nigeria’s economic recovery.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dangote said the improved policy environment had contributed to the sustained growth and efficient operations of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex, Africa’s largest integrated refining and petrochemical facility.
“The progress being recorded at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex is closely linked to a policy environment that encourages investment, supports domestic industrialisation, and promotes self-sufficiency. These reforms are helping Nigerian businesses to plan with greater certainty, invest with confidence, and compete effectively on the global stage,” he noted.
He said the government’s policies to expand local refining capacity, reduce reliance on imports, strengthen energy security and promote value addition had played a significant role in the refinery’s success and supported Nigeria’s broader economic development goals.
Dangote said the Federal Government’s ongoing fiscal, monetary and regulatory reforms had contributed significantly to improving macroeconomic stability, boosting productivity across key sectors, strengthening Nigeria’s appeal to investors and creating a more resilient business environment.
According to him, the reforms are beginning to deliver tangible results, with their impact increasingly evident across the economy.
“We are witnessing improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity, and a more resilient business environment. These measures are laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity for Nigeria,” Dangote stated.
He explained that the reforms had created a more conducive operating environment for businesses, particularly large-scale manufacturing and industrial companies that are vital to economic diversification, job creation, foreign exchange earnings and strengthening Nigeria’s global competitiveness.
“We commend the Federal Government for its courage and determination in implementing reforms that are essential for economic transformation. While every reform process comes with initial challenges, the benefits are increasingly evident in stronger economic indicators, improved business confidence, and renewed investor interest in Nigeria,” he stated.
Dangote said the refinery’s growing production capacity and expanding export operations were making a significant contribution to Nigeria’s economic recovery through increased foreign exchange earnings, job creation and stronger local supply chains, while helping to position the country as a major energy and manufacturing hub.
Reaffirming Dangote Industries Limited’s commitment to the Federal Government’s economic agenda, he said the group would sustain investments in strategic sectors, promote innovation and industrial development, and create more sustainable employment opportunities.
He expressed confidence that sustained reforms, policy stability and stronger public-private sector collaboration would further accelerate economic growth, attract greater foreign direct investment and strengthen Nigeria’s position as one of Africa’s leading investment destinations.
“Nigeria is on the path to becoming one of the world’s leading industrial and economic powers. With continued policy consistency, robust private-sector participation, and investment-led growth, the future of our economy is exceptionally bright,” Dangote concluded.
