President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to finally commission the long-awaited Lagos State Red Line Rail project on February 29, 2024, according to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Nairametrics reported that the governor announced this at the ‘Lagos Market Trader Money’ launch for 15,000 beneficiaries on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, according to a post by the Senior Special Assistant to the Government on New Media, Jubril Gawat.
The project is expected to significantly alter Lagos State’s public transport system.
In his post, Gawat stated, “Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, has announced that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will be the one to commission the Red Line Rail Project on February 29, 2024.”
