President Bola Tinubu has named strategic policy analyst Opeyemi Agbaje as Chairman of the National Pension Commission.

Mr. Agbaje disclosed his appointment in a statement to Peoples Gazette on Saturday.

He said, “On Monday, August 11th, I received a call from the HMF/CME informing me of my appointment as Chairman of the National Pension Commission.’’

He noted that he had already met with the director-general of the commission for an initial briefing on PENCOM’s activities.

Mr. Agbaje, who serves as executive producer of the Policy Council TV show and CEO of RTC Advisory Services Limited, is widely recognised for his commentary on Nigeria’s economic policies.

He also previously served two terms on the board of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund between 2011 and August 2019.
