The Federal Internal Revenue Service has named Zacch Adelabu Adedeji as its new Acting Chairman.

The Times reported that the former chairman, Muhammad Nami, is about to start a terminal leave of absence.

As the new interim chairman of FIRS, Adedeji, a Special Advisor to the President on Internal Revenue, has taken over.

In addition to being an expert in corporate taxes and public finance development, Zacch Adelabu Adedeji is a brilliant accountant. He has worked for multinational corporations, state governments, and the federal government of Nigeria for more than 15 years in corporate accounting, public service administration, and public service consultancy.

Between 2011 to 2015, he served as a single-term Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria, under Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

He led a team of fewer than 50 people to implement a Medium-Term Financial strategy for the overall framework of Financial and Budgetary management of the state, which is among his notable accomplishments in the state.
