The previous chairman of the Kaduna State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Benjamin Isaiah, has been elected as the association’s National President.
He was elected president during the recently completed National Triennial Delegates Conference, which was held in Omoku, River State on Thursday.
He defeated his opponent, Abubakar Adamu Sadiq by a huge margin of (16 votes to 6) in the election.
The electoral chairman, Sunday Ugule, announced Benjamin Isaiah as the winner of the election and remarked, “Having secured the highest vote, I hereby declare Benjamin Isaiah as the National President of SWAN.”
Also elected were the Deputy President, Bonny Nyong, Secretary, Ikenna Victor Okonkwo, Financial Secretary, Ijeoma Peter Nwante, Vice President South-South, Azuka Ralph Chiemeka, Vice President South West, Ayodeji Ogunsakin, vise President South East, Frankie Omokua, Welfare, Austin Ajayi and many others.
While promising to lead an inclusive government, Isaiah solicited everyone’s support and pleaded with those who couldn’t make it to accept the loss and cooperate for the association’s benefit.
