Sundry Foods Limited has expressed a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment for its female employees.

This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday, by the Chief Executive Officer of Sundry Foods, Mr Ebele Enunwa, while addressing female employees during this year’s International Women’s Day event of the firm in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, according to The Punch.

According to the statement, he said “Our dedication to gender equality is unwavering and we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential for success and innovation. We are proud that women consistently represent our largest employee resource.”

Enunwa noted that the company will never cease to inspire, connect, and empower women in its ranks until they reach their full potential.

To achieve this, the CEO of SFL stated that the organisation would support and encourage women to pursue career initiatives designed for personal and professional growth.

He encouraged mothers who leave their jobs after having children to consider other options.

“For instance, they can request for transfers to be closer to their loved ones or take extended breaks from work during the most difficult periods and as the situation warrants,” he suggested.

Likewise, Enunwa argued that women should not see the childbearing years of their lives as a threat to achieving their full potential and instead look at them as an interim stage in the journey of life.

He emphasized, “No matter the circumstances and situations they may face in this regard, SFL is committed to accommodating and encouraging them.”
