The gas distribution company, Shell Nigeria Gas Limited which is a division of the Shell Energy company has announced the appointment of Mr Ralph Gbobo as managing director, effective July 1, 2023.

Mr. Ralph was appointed to replace Ed Ubong, who has moved on to another position within the Shell group.

Before now, Ralph served as the Shell Shareholders Representative and Manager of Commercial and Non-Operated Venture for the seven SPDC Onshore Non-Operated Venture Assets. He has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas business as he joins SNG.

According to the General Manager of Shell Energy Nigeria, Markus Hector, “Ralph’s appointment is a result of diligence, competence, and commitment to Shell’s core values and our drive to powering progress by delivering more and cleaner energy to businesses in Nigeria.”

Ralph will be in charge of steering SNG and safely achieving its goals for domestic gas expansion.

“I am filled with humility and resolve to spark innovation, promote sustainable growth, and create shared value for all,” Ralph said in a statement.

“In our quest to give Nigeria a cleaner, more promising energy future, we will work together to improve technology, empower local communities, and perform admirably.”
