Providus Bank Limited has announced a collaboration with MasterCard to launch an innovative payment solution for business customers, allowing for seamless transactions for both payment and collection.
According to The Punch, the Bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Walter Akpani, emphasized the organization’s dedication to innovation during his speech at the launch of the new solution known as Amphi card.
He conveyed his appreciation to MasterCard for their collaboration on the project. “We want to break new ground in how we do things, and we can’t do it alone,” he declared.
The card, according to Akpani, is a component of the bank’s continuous innovation drive.
“The frontier of innovation never stops; we just need to keep pushing our intellectual limits to try new things. Customers ultimately stand to gain from this drive towards innovation,” he declared
He gave the customers of the bank the assurance that they would continue to be at the forefront of attending to their needs and offering specialized solutions to promote company expansion.
The new product, according to the Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Kingsley Aigbokhaevbo, would drastically cut costs for SMEs and is a great solution.
A representative from MasterCard, Vice-president – Customer service solutions -East Africa & west Africa/Indian Oceans, Kari Tukur, acknowledged the Amphi card as the first dual card launched in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
“As a payment industry technology company, we are thrilled to be a part of this creative solution – a digital and financial technology that makes life different and easy for everyone.
“We are introducing a solution today that truly is unique and comprehensive because it integrates payment and collection,” the speaker stated.
