The Board of Premium Pension Limited has announced a few corporate changes, including the appointment of Gen. Bitrus Kwaji OON as its new Chairman, beginning August 19, 2023.
According to The Times, this came after the former Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Alhassan Babayo, who had served in that capacity since 2020, announced his resignation.
Senator Nenadi Esther Usman, DCG Garba Bala Makarfi (Rtd), and Dr. Mansur Aleiro also joined the Company’s Board of Directors as Non-Executive Directors in September 2023.
General Kwaji (rtd), a career soldier who underwent training from the Nigerian Army to become a chartered accountant, is a graduate of Strayer University in Washington, DC, USA as well as Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna.
General Kwaji served as the group managing director of Nigerian Army Welfare Ltd/Gte, a nonprofit organization incorporated by the Nigerian Army under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990, until his retirement from the Nigerian Army in 2014.
He held a number of positions in the Nigerian Army over the course of his more than thirty-year career, including those of Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration, Deputy Defence Attaché Finance in Washington, DC, General Manager of the Nigerian Army Welfare Scheme, Director of Finance Defence Intelligence Agency, and Chairman, Military Pensions Board.
Gen. Kwaji is a prestigious Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria.

Dr. Muhammadu Mansur Aliero is a famous academician and entrepreneur with a solid educational background that spans several universities and degrees. He studied in Sokoto at Usman Danfodio University.
He earned his PhD and MSc from the University of Putra Malaysia in 2018 and 2012, respectively. His vast education and membership in trade associations are evidence of his ongoing quest for knowledge and achievement in his chosen field.
Dr. Mansur visited significant international conferences in countries including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Tunisia, and Malaysia in his pursuit of knowledge.
