The President and Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Governing Council, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, has stressed the importance of a responsive governance structure in attaining success in the profession of public relations.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, which does so through a number of channels and venues, to promoting honesty, integrity, and openness.
Sirajo made the statement in honour of World Public Relations Day 2023.
According to him, the public presentation of the citizens’ summit report was planned.
He claimed the report had recommendations that, if followed, would result in national rebirth and recovery.
According to him, the initiative “focuses on promoting non-violent communication, providing frameworks for citizen re-engagement through behavioral re-orientation, and improving governance structure for better responsiveness.”
He urged the current administration to actively work towards putting some of the recommendations from the Citizens Summit Report into practice.
