President Bola Tinubu on Monday received executives from Shell Petroleum Development Company and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, led by its Group Managing Director Mele Kyari.
While the agenda for the meeting has not been made public, it is expected to focus on the president’s recent decision to modify fuel prices and eliminate the gasoline subsidy.
Members of the Shell Delegation include Peter Costello, Osagie Okunbo, and Mar De Jong, with Ms. Zoe Yunovic, Global Upstream Director at Shell Petroleum Development Company, serving as the delegation’s leader.
Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Special Adviser on Energy to the President Olu Verheijen, Special Adviser on Revenue Affairs to the President Zacchaeus Adedeji, and GMD of NNPC Mele Kyari are all present at this important meeting at the State House in Abuja.
The meeting was Tinubu’s first official engagement after the Sallah festivities and his foreign trips to France on June 20 and London on June 24 respectively
