A chat platform called Poppin and a prominent creative Fintech platform called PalmPay has announced a partnership to launch the “Pop&Pay” Campus Dance Competition, a pan-Nigeria campus tour throughout 10 colleges in Nigeria.
The Punch stated that the goal of this effort, according to a statement, is to excite and educate the next generation of tech enthusiasts by fusing financial technology and communication solutions.
The universities taking part in the program include, among others, the Universities of Calabar, Ibadan, Port-Harcourt, Abuja, Lagos, and Lagos State University of Science and Technology.
The campaign, which began on October 11, will conclude on December 15, 2023.
“A wide range of prizes, including mobile phones, cash rewards, and vouchers, will be awarded during the two-month-long event. The phrase implied that the final winner, who will stand out among the talented competitors, will get the grand prize.
“The first event will take place from October 11 to October 13 at the University of Calabar in Cross River. Students who are enthusiastic in participating can do so for free by contacting their university’s Student Union Government, Director of Socials, or Department Director of Socials.
“The joint campus tour is a testament to the shared vision of PalmPay and Poppin to drive innovation and cultivate technological advancements within the Nigerian tech ecosystem,” It said.
It also stated that a number of interactive product demonstrations and workshops aimed at informing students would be included in the tour.
The statement said, “By encouraging cooperation and knowledge sharing, this campus tour tries to educate students with the required tools to thrive in the constantly changing technology world, while also cultivating a spirit of invention and entrepreneurship.”
