The CEO of Baidu Inc Robin Li, has disclosed that more than 70 sizable artificial intelligence language models with more than 1 billion parameters have been released in China.
After receiving regulatory licence for mass market releases, Baidu joined a number of other Chinese businesses in launching AI chatbots last week.
These companies include AI start-ups MiniMax, Baichuan Intelligent Technology, and the facial recognition company SenseTime.
According to Li, Ernie 3.5, the most recent version of Baidu’s AI chatbot, processes information twice as quickly as Ernie 3.4 and is 50% more effective. Li also disclosed that a new version of Baidu will be released soon.
