Oracle, xAI to integrate Grok 3 model for clients

Tech giant Oracle faces scrutiny over handling of data breaches

Oracle Corporation announced Tuesday that it is teaming up with Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence firm, xAI, to offer the company’s latest AI model, Grok 3, to enterprise customers through its cloud infrastructure platform.

Grok 3, released in February, is xAI’s flagship model designed to compete with top-tier offerings from AI rivals such as DeepSeek and OpenAI. Initially made available to premium users on Musk’s X social media platform and via xAI directly, the model will now be accessible through Oracle’s secure data centers for corporate clients.

According to Karan Batta, Senior Vice President at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the partnership allows businesses to deploy Grok 3 while keeping their data protected under Oracle’s existing security frameworks. “Our goal is to offer a wide portfolio of models—we don’t have our own,” Batta told Reuters. “We want to be the platform that provides access to all of them.”

Oracle’s cloud service already hosts models from Meta, French AI startup Mistral, and Canada-based Cohere. The company’s strategy focuses on enabling businesses to integrate various leading AI models directly into their enterprise applications, offering flexibility and security without developing proprietary models.

The collaboration highlights Oracle’s continued push into the competitive cloud AI market, as firms increasingly seek customized and secure AI solutions for business use.
