Opera’s Aria, an AI-powered product integrated into its web browser, now offers text summarization capabilities on Android devices.

This feature condenses lengthy web pages such as news articles, blog posts, or research papers into concise summaries that can typically fit on a single screen.

The announcement of this new feature on Monday highlights its usefulness in helping users quickly grasp the main points of a topic.

To utilize it, users simply need to visit any text-based web page using the Opera Android browser, tap the three dots in the top right corner, and select the “Summarize” option next to the Aria icon. A chat with Aria will then appear, providing the requested summary.

To access this feature, users should ensure they have updated to the latest version of Opera for Android and either log in to their existing Opera account or sign up for a new one.

Aria was initially launched last year and functions as an AI search companion, offering answers to questions in a chatbot-like interface instead of traditional web searches. Since its launch, Opera has been continuously enhancing Aria’s capabilities through its AI Feature Drops Program, which grants users early access to new AI features.

Recent updates include the ability to generate images using Imagen2 by Google and the capability to read text answers aloud.
