OpenAI CEO issued a Monday memo to staff declaring a “code red” to enhance ChatGPT, according to multiple reports.
Altman indicated the company will scale back investments in sectors such as health, shopping, and advertising to focus on improving the chatbot, according to CNBC.
OpenAI declined to comment on the matter on Tuesday.
“Our focus now is to keep making ChatGPT more capable, continue growing, and expand access around the world — while making it feel even more intuitive and personal,” Nick Turley, head of ChatGPT at OpenAI, wrote in a post on X on Monday.
