OctaFX has joined forces with 62 small and medium-sized Nigerian businesses to celebrate financial independence.

The international broker joined forces with the businesses to launch Freedom Freebies: For People, Not Profit, a campaign designed to commemorate Nigeria’s sixty-second anniversary of independence.

OctaFX collaborated with fashion brands, household item retailers, lifestyle businesses, and food apps, among others, to provide freebies in the Nigeria-wide promotion.

OctaFX assisted these businesses in increasing engagement and orders from Nigerians who shared what financial independence meant to them via their apps, web, and social media channels.

The activity, in particular, provided free meals to 700 users of the 500 Chow and Food Court apps. The free-spirited promotion included cash giveaways on social media.

The broker gave N180,000 to each of 60 locally-owned businesses for freebie giveaways. The SMEs publicised the giveaway through social media posts.

OctaFX also partnered with the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative to host a free yoga event in honour of World Mental Health Day 2022.

OctaFX said; “We wanted to create a remarkable experience around the Independence Day celebration in Nigeria. With this campaign, we identified outstanding businesses that have journeyed with the country on the path to freedom and helped create value with products and services. New users on our platform also received rewards that helped us grow our financial community. We are delighted to participate in this ambitious initiative.’’

OctaFX is a global broker that has been offering online trading services since 2011.

It recently won World Finance’s ‘Best ECN Broker 2021’ award and Global Banking and Finance Review’s ‘Best Forex Broker Nigeria 2022’ award.
