Obasanjo, Soludo arrive Kinshasa for DRC-Nigeria business summit

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, have arrived at Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo for the meeting of the DRC/Nigeria Business Council scheduled to start on Saturday.

According to Channels, Obasanjo left Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, for a two-hour chartered flight to Kinshasa with the Executive Secretary, National Action Committee on the African Continental Free Trade Area, Olusegun Awolowo.

Also Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi to Obasanjo, through a press statement stated that business mogul/renowned industrialist, Wale Adeosun, joined the former President on the trip.

Others expected to join the meeting are the Kaduna State Governor and Deputy President of the DRC/Nigeria Business Council, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Aliko Dangote of the Dangote Group, Mrs Stella Okoli of Emzor Paracetamol among others.

No less than 30 prospective investors from the health, education, agriculture, communications, power, and finance sectors will meet with their DRC counterparts, according to the Deputy Secretary of the DRC-NIGERIA Business Council, Amb. Leke Adebiyi.
