Kogi State Government has been ordered to reopen the Obajana cement plant that was shut by its State Assembly last week.
According to The Punch, the National Security Council gave the order at the security meeting held in Abuja on Friday.
The council propose a legal route to quell all disputes between the warring factions over the ownership of the plant.
It maintained that its decision to reopen the plant was a reiteration of its commitment to provide and foster employment.
AM Business reported that the Kogi Assembly last week ordered the closure of the Obajana Cement plant until the issue surrounding ownership of the cement plant was resolved.
The state government had claimed that available documents showed that the plant belonged to it 100 per cent.
Howbeit, the Dangote industries refuted the state house of assembly claim, stating that the Kogi State Government had no stake whatsoever in the plant adding that the Kogi state government was not entitled to any dividend in the company.
