The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has reduced the pump price of petrol for the third time in December 2025.
According to Daily Post, monitoring fuel stations across Abuja on Thursday, it was observed that NNPCL lowered the price of petrol to N835 per litre from the previous N915.
The adjustment represents a reduction of N80 per litre by the state-owned oil company.
The latest price cut follows earlier adjustments by other marketers, including MRS, BOVAS and AA Rano, which reviewed their petrol pump prices in the Federal Capital Territory to between N739 and N865 per litre.
The reduction by NNPCL and other filling stations came after Dangote Refinery and depot owners slashed their ex-depot petrol prices to a range of between N699 and N800 per litre.
It will be recalled that NNPCL and other filling stations had earlier reduced petrol prices on December 4 and December 10, 2025, respectively.
