The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited remitted a total of N14.706 trillion in statutory payments to the Federal Government between January and December 2025.
This was disclosed in the company’s Monthly Report Summary for December 2025.
According to the report, NNPC Ltd generated N60.5 trillion in total revenue for the year and posted a profit after tax of N5.76 trillion, underscoring robust financial performance and higher contributions to the federation’s coffers.
NNPC Ltd’s latest monthly report shows a marked increase in statutory remittances to the Federal Government in 2025.
For the full year, statutory payments amounted to N14.706 trillion, while total revenue reached N60.5 trillion. The company recorded a profit after tax of N5.76 trillion, reflecting strong financial performance.
In the gas segment, natural gas production stood at 6,914 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) in December 2025, compared to 6,968 mmscf/d recorded in November.
“December production performance was affected by planned Maintenance work at Stardeep-Agbami, Renaissance-Estuary Area (EA) and unplanned production facility outages,” the report stated.
The report also offered updates on key gas infrastructure projects, which are pivotal for enhancing domestic gas supply and reinforcing Nigeria’s energy value chain.
Regarding the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline project, NNPC confirmed that mainline welding has been completed on schedule. Efforts are now focused on finalising the Intermediate Pressure Stations and Block Valve Stations along the AKK corridor.

For the OB3 River Niger Crossing, NNPC has finished early works and begun pilot hole drilling.
The company affirmed that both projects remain on schedule, highlighting its continued efforts to expand gas transmission capacity nationwide.
NNPC Ltd reported a Profit After Tax of N5.4 trillion from total revenue of N45.1 trillion for the full year ended 2024.
As Nigeria’s state-owned energy company, NNPC Ltd plays a central role in the oil and gas sector, overseeing upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
Its statutory remittances constitute a significant portion of the Federal Government’s revenue.
In December, it was reported that the company had remitted N12.117 trillion in statutory payments to the Federal Government between January and October 2025.
