The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria reported that it made N441 million from ticket sales in March.

This was disclosed by the National Chairman of CEAN, Mr Opeyemi Ajayi in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.

Ajayi said, “For March, we had total sales of N441,752,914 across all cinema with 174,071 viewers admission into cinemas.”

He noted that the sales in March were encouraging in comparison to the previous month.

“Sales in March were encouraging compared with February when we recorded total sales of N278 million due to activities of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, as well as the national problem of cash crunch,” he stated.

Furthermore, Ajayi announced the movies that would be shown in April, which include Super Mario Bros, Domitila, Bloomboys, Honey Money, Renfield, and The Pope’s exorcist.
