Netflix users in Canada and the UK may be able to play Netflix games on some TVs as well as on their PCs and Macs in the upcoming weeks, according to the streaming giant.
Netflix games were introduced in 2021 and up to this point could only be played on mobile devices.
This deployment will include two games: Molehew’s Mining Adventure, an arcade gem-mining game, and Oxenfree from Night School Studio, a Netflix gaming studio.
With Netflix games coming to TVs, users won’t need to buy any extra hardware because you can use your phone as a controller.
Users will be able to use your keyboard and mouse to play when it’s made available on computers.
Only select Netflix users will be allowed to start playing Netflix games on devices other than their phones due to the limited beta testing of the new formats.
Mike Verdu, vice president of games at Netflix, said the procedure is “meant to test our game streaming technology and controller and to improve the member experience over time.”
