A firm, Praesidium Consultancy Limited has announced its collaboration with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission to raise awareness among citizens regarding the importance of data privacy and protection.
The Managing Director, Praesidium Consultancy Limited, Mrs Roni Akins, in a statement on Friday, said “Praesidium Consultancy Limited is organising a one-day webinar in partnership with the NDPC with the theme, ‘Compliance Excellence: Strategies for adhering to Nigeria Data Protection Act,’ which is aimed at familiarising financial institutions in Nigeria with the new Act as well as equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of data protection regulations.
“The webinar which will be held in September is expected to have more than 200 participants in attendance and it will provide a comprehensive overview of the Nigeria Data Protection Act as well as highlight its key provisions, scope and implications for organisations.
She also mentioned that the event’s keynote address would be given by the Chief Executive Officer of the NDPC, Dr. Vincent Olatunji.
