The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law has advocated for increased engagement with the Corporate Affairs Commission to help the Nigerian economy.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Governing Board of the NBA-SBL, Dr. Adeoye Adefulu,in a statement made by the Head of Media for CAC, Rasheed Mahe, on Sunday in Abuja.

Speaking at the 17th Annual International Business Law Conference in Lagos, the NBA-SBL chairman praised CAC’s team for delivering strong contact with customers and resolving the majority of their issues after visiting the Regulatory Clinic established by the organization.

The focus of the conference was “The Nigerian Business Landscape: Priorities for Law, Policy, and Regulation.”

The NBA-SBL chairman praised CAC’s team for delivering active engagement with customers and resolving the majority of their lingering concerns after visiting the Regulatory Clinic established by the organization.

“The relationship between the CAC, NBA, and SBL should be further strengthened for the benefit of the Nigerian economy,” he stated.

He applauded the majority of CAC’s services being automated and urged the commission to reenergize problem-solving techniques to ensure quicker issue resolution.

The coordinator of the regulatory clinic, Oluwatoyin Oladejo, also expressed delight with the number of attendees and the enormous assistance and problem-solving provided by the CAC team.

Oladejo appealed for the continuation of the relationship, noting that it had been effective, while also praising the clinic as the conference’s best feature.

In order to get the most out of the CAC’s Companies Registration Portal and avoid pointless hurdles, she urged users to make an effort to always study the available rules.

The Technical Assistant to the Registrar-General, Mr. Mohammed Abdullahi, advised clients and the general public using the Companies Registration Portal to first read the inline guidelines before proceeding with any transaction.

Additionally, Abdullahi urged clients to make it a habit to frequently visit the CAC website, cac.gov.ng, in order to stay informed and choose useful materials that would make it simpler for them to obtain services.

The NBA-SBL’s Annual Business Law Conference has brought together decision-makers from the public and commercial sectors ever since it was founded in 2004.

Additionally, it was the biggest gathering of business lawyers in Nigeria, with more than a thousand lawyers participating in over 20 working sessions.

The sessions covered all areas of practice relevant to lawyers and Nigerian businesses. The Trademarks, Patents and Designs Registry, and the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering are among the additional regulators at the clinic.

Among the groups in attendance were the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
