Aradel Holdings, two others increase NASD OTC bourse by 1.13%

The NASD Over-the-Counter Securities Exchange on Monday, July 31, fell by 0.08 percent, subtracting N400 million from the bourse’s overall worth.

As a result, the market value of the NASD OTC securities exchange decreased from the N1.077 trillion it reached last Friday to N1.077 trillion.

Likewise, the NASD Unlisted Securities Index decreased by 0.30 points to close the day at 778.66 points, as opposed to the previous session’s 778.96 points.

The only company to experience a price decline was Geo-Fluids Plc, whose price fell by 10 Kobo to close at N2.80 a share as opposed to N2.90 a share on Friday.

It exceeded the 1 Kobo gain made by FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc, the only price increase of the trading day, closing at N77.62 per unit compared to N77.61 per unit on the previous trading day.

In contrast to the 169,468 units moved in the previous trading session, investors purchased and sold 5.1 million units yesterday, increasing the volume of securities transacted at the market by 2,929.2%.

Additionally, compared to last Friday, when N7.6 million was accomplished, the value of shares traded during the trading session increased by 143.3 percent to N18.5 million.

In comparison to the 14 deals that were recorded in the previous trading session, these transactions were carried out in 15, a 7.1% increase.

The most actively traded stock by volume was Central Securities Clearing System Plc, with 1.1 billion units worth N21.2 billion; Geo-Fluids was in second with 631.0 units worth N1.1 billion; and Industrial and General Insurance Plc was in third with 608.3 million units worth N48.1 million.

With 1.1 billion units valued at N21.2 billion, CSCS Plc ended the trading day as the most actively traded stock (year to date), ahead of VFD Group (18.9 million units worth N4.2 billion) and FrieslandCampico Wamco Nigeria Plc (17.7 million units worth N1.3 billion).
