The Naira appreciated to N1,455 per dollar in the parallel market on Tuesday.

This represents a gain from N1,465 per dollar recorded on Monday.

The naira also strengthened in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, NFEM.

It appreciated to N1,367 per dollar in the official window.

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed the indicative exchange rate for the naira declined to N1,367 per dollar.

This was an improvement from N1,384.5 per dollar on Monday.

The movement reflected a N17.5 appreciation for the naira in the official market.

Consequently, the margin between the parallel market and the official market widened.

The gap increased to N88 per dollar from N80.5 per dollar on Monday.
