NAFDAC recalls Indomie vegetable noodles over allergen risk

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has announced the recall of Indomie brand noodles, Vegetable Flavour, following the discovery of undeclared allergens in the product.

NAFDAC disclosed that the affected noodles contain milk and eggs, which were not declared on the product label, thereby posing a potential health risk to consumers who are allergic or intolerant to these substances.

In a statement issued under Public Alert No. 041/2025, the agency warned that the presence of undeclared milk and egg allergens could endanger the health of sensitive consumers.

The regulatory body advised members of the public, particularly individuals with known allergies or intolerances, to refrain from consuming the affected Indomie Vegetable Flavour noodles.

NAFDAC also urged distributors, retailers and consumers to immediately discontinue the sale and use of the recalled product.

The agency stated that additional regulatory measures are being implemented to ensure consumer safety and compliance with established food labelling regulations.

Consumers in possession of the affected product were advised to report to the nearest NAFDAC office or contact the agency through its official communication channels.
