The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture and the European Union have formally declared their partnership.
This was confirmed on November 29, 2023, at the European Union and NACCIMA Business Evening, which was sponsored by the EU President and Spanish Ambassador, Juan Sell.
The gathering included over seventy business leaders, ambassadors, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Trade and Investment, Finance Ministry, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, oil and gas free trade zones, Ekiti State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, and other notable figures from the Nigerian business community.
The NACCIMA leadership was led by the President of NACCIMA, the First Deputy President, National Vice Presidents, and other prominent figures.
The partnership was confirmed by the Head of the EU Delegation to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States, Ambassador Samuela Isopi, who also informed the audience that a business summit between the EU and Nigeria is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.

In his remarks, NACCIMA President Hon. Dele Kelvin Oye greeted attendees, reviewed the organization’s history, and stressed the value of chambers of commerce in society—particularly the trade association’s role in supporting the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs and Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
He complimented the EU for its cooperation with NACCIMA.
It is anticipated that this collaboration will open up a number of doors and improve the business climate in Nigeria as it pledges to assist company expansion, foster innovation, and advance Nigeria’s sustainable development.
The establishment of the NACCIMA European Union alliance presents an exciting chance for both organizations to promote favourable business environments, encourage innovation, and cultivate collaboration.
NACCIMA is excited at the chance to collaborate with the European Union to accomplish its goals of promoting, safeguarding, and enhancing the business sector’s vital role for sustainable development and economic empowerment in Nigeria.

All of the EU’s member states were present at the ceremony as ambassadors, including Spain, the EU, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Finland.
The Chargé, Deputy Ambassador, or Trade Counsellors represented the remaining parties.
