Moniepoint Inc., a Nigerian-founded fintech, has been recognized by CNBC as one of the United Kingdom’s leading fintech companies, marking a fresh milestone in its global growth journey.
The company, which ranks among Africa’s largest business payments and digital banking platforms, earned its place on the CNBC list compiled with market research firm Statista. The ranking assessed performance indicators such as revenue growth, transaction volume, and capital raised across 2023 and 2024.
This recognition follows the recent launch of MonieWorld, a digital platform offering remittances and financial services to Africans in the diaspora, with the UK serving as its first international market.
Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Tosin Eniolorunda said, “We are delighted to be honoured once again by CNBC, this time as one of the UK’s top fintech companies. We are Nigerian-founded and proud of our heritage, but we recognise the importance of the UK market as both a strategic bilateral trade partner and a vital remittance corridor for Africa.”
Founded in 2015 as TeamApt Inc. by Eniolorunda and Felix Ike, Moniepoint now serves over 10 million customers, processing more than one billion transactions each month valued at over $22 billion. Its offerings span digital banking, credit, payments, and business management tools.
The company has earned multiple high-profile recognitions in 2025, including TIME’s list of the 100 most influential companies and CNBC’s ranking of the world’s top 300 fintech firms.
It has also appeared on the Financial Times’ list of Africa’s fastest-growing companies for three consecutive years, as well as CB Insights’ Fintech 100 list.
